SCARAB
Waste Water Treatment Plants
South Africa's Leaders in
Sewage treatment systems
of waste water treatment package plant technology.
Scarab and the humble dung beetle
Welcome to Scarab Water, where we turn domestic sewage into clean water with the same diligence and efficiency as nature’s dung beetle.
Established in 2000 by Steve Nicol and his late father, Gordon, Scarab has been at the forefront of providing sustainable sewage treatment solutions across South Africa, Africa, and as far as Australia.
Much like the dung beetle, which tirelessly processes waste to nurture and rejuvenate the soil, our company is dedicated to transforming domestic sewage into a valuable resource. Our innovative waste water treatment plants, tested and approved by notable entities such as Umgeni Water, and the notorious Durban Metro, stand as a testament to our commitment to excellence and environmental safekeeping.
At Scarab, we pride ourselves on our practical solutions that cater to a wide range of needs, from households to large communities. By harnessing the same principles of efficiency and sustainability identified by the humble dung beetle, we aim to make a significant positive impact on our environment.
Join us in our mission to leave the planet a little better than we found it, one drip of water at a time. Every single day.
And, like the dung beetle, have fun doing it.
The Best Waste Water Treatment Company in South Africa.

Sewerage Treatment Plant
Simply Compliant
In many cases, other designs can only offer standard aeration i.e from base to the top water level. In these cases, should increased aeration be required, the added bubbles create excessive turbulence, and the biological process becomes unsettled. Water quality deteriorates. We can increase aeration without added turbulence.
Tough, gentle and reliable wastewater treatment solutions.
